I'm a graphic designer and art director with close to 20 years of experience. I've immersed myself in some of the things at the core of Melbourne's identity. As a designer at the AFL, I helped shape the look of Melbourne's famous sport. As the creative director at Bicycle Network, I worked on Melbourne's iconic cycling events. Now, as a Freelancer, I work from the creative hub of Fitzroy.
What influences you?
Back when I was studying I was lucky to intern at Pentagram Design, so I have always admired and been influenced by the work they produce, and the work coming from some of their alumni like Vince Frost. I've always been a fan of clean, clever and conceptual design.
What Motivates you as an Artist?
My clients. It seems an obvious motivation, but I'm always striving to produce work that they are proud of. It's always a thrill (well almost always!) to receive feedback from a presentation or on the artwork and concepts I've delivered.
What are you working on at the moment?
I'm currently working on projects for a couple of Melbourne's own not-for-profit organisations, one that promotes a hairy upper lip, and one that is planning an exciting new cycling event in the heart of Melbourne.
