Everyone is discussing a "new normal". What does "normal" even mean? What we need is a New Future. One we want to create rather than one that has happened to us. One with less consumption. One with a renewed focus on connection and community. One with hope for a better world.
Creativity and resourcefulness could replace our obsession with productivity and pace. We’ve seen that working together is not only possible, but necessary to face global challenges.
TEDxMelbourne wants to hear the community's vision of the New Future beyond 2020 and have selected an inspiring and thought-provoking line up of speakers with exciting ideas to share.
We’re hosting our PluggedIn Open Mic competition on Thursday 11 June, with "doors open" (log-ins) from 7:30 pm for an 8 pm start. PluggedIn is an online event, streaming TEDxMelbourne talks and performances, direct to your computer.
Register to attend:
Tickets are strictly limited due to the capacity of the online webinar platform, so will be allocated on a "first in best-dressed basis". Please consider others and only register if you know you will be available to attend. All those who miss out on the initial release will be placed on a waiting list.
